Speaking of greatest things, this episode of Community (Season 1 episode 23) is amazing. Most of the time the 4th-wall jokes and constant self-examination of the show itself kind of annoys me and strikes me as the writers showing off their knowledge of TV tropes, but they absolutely use that knowledge to its fullest here to poke fun at post-apocalypse movies. From the “hero’s awakening” rising camera shot (ala 28 Days Later and Resident Evil) to the casual dialogue (“Look who I found wandering in the neutral zone”) to the classic showdown-leading-to-teamup - awesome.
