Google have just announced a bunch of new features, the most spectacular (in my opinion) being Google Goggles - a visual search engine. Search text, books, barcodes or even landmarks simply by taking a photograph on your phone, and it features (almost seemingly as a side-product) Google-backed augmented reality.
At the end, they make mention of how they’d like to expand it to suggest chess moves or identify trees by photographs of leaves.
I love the future.
